A male teenager who was struck by a car Tuesday, Jan. 24, in Riverside has been hospitalized.
The crash was reported around 10:40 a.m. at the intersection of Arlington Avenue and Adams Street in the city's Ramona neighborhood, Riverside Police Department spokesman Ryan Railsback said. The crash occurred outside of Harvest Christian School, where the victim may have attended, Railsback said.
The victim went into the roadway and a car driving west on Arlington Avenue struck him, Railsback said. Further details regarding the circumstances of the crash were not immediately available.
The victim's condition and extent of his injuries were also not immediately available.
The driver of the car that struck the teen stuck around and is being cooperative with investigators, Railsback said.
About noon Tuesday, a police car remained at the intersection, controlling traffic and blocking westbound Arlington Avenue.
